Cleo has a long list of admirers. The fluffy white cat even won the favor of construction workers 15 stories tall.
“I first noticed Cleo’s love for workers when I started working from home about four months ago,” Cleo’s mom, Caelin Smith, told The Dodo. “I heard her meowing behind the blinds somewhere outside my 15th-floor window.”
Smith opened the shutters to see what the curious cat was doing.
“They played with her through the window,” Smith said. “She had these workers wrapped around her paws! I thought, ‘How long has this been going on?!'”
Workers arrived at Smith’s building around 8:30 a.m.
“I made sure to close the shutters so Cleo could see her boyfriend at work,” Smith said. “It was really lovely to watch their relationship develop.”

Nor does it end with construction workers. This adorable 1-and-a-half-year-old cat treats all handymen equally.
“I’ve noticed a love for electricians, plumbers, and cable workers,” Smith said. “We live in a 500-square-foot studio apartment, so it’s definitely the most exciting interaction this city kitty has ever experienced.”
While the workers haven’t had the chance to touch Cleo yet, seeing her is something they look forward to every day.
“Cleo is the epitome of the COVID kitty,” Smith said. “She loves being in front of others and absolutely hates being alone. Every time I leave the apartment for more than two hours she yells at me.”
“She had a very gentle, sweet demeanor and a calm vibe,” Smith said. “She has brought so much joy into my life.”
